Motorola Droid Turbo is a highly specialized smartphone, especially in terms of energy, as It lasts 48 hours (two full days) on complete charge. Besides that, the phone comes with Motorola’s Turbo Charger in the box, which promises to boost Droid Turbo’s battery pack (3,900 mAh) to render 8 hours of power backup within 15 minutes of charge.
Pushing off the exceptional battery specs yet in the market, Motorola Droid Turbo features a Quad HD display (2,560 x 1,440 pixels) and measures 5.2-inch diagonally. The smartphone offers a 21MP rear shooter with 4K video recording capability and 2MP front-facing selfie tunnel with HD video recording (dual LED flash included). The device is likely to be marked as an extended form of second-generation Moto X with killer battery and camera specs.
With a 2.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chip and 3GB RAM, Droid Turbo makes things go at the speed of light compared to any other smartphones available in the market. Plus, the guaranteed update from Android 4.4.4 KitKat to Lollipop takes it even further. The device also supports Version’s XLTE network which just doubles the bandwidth of 4G LTE, and includes a variety of Motorola features such as Moto Voice, Moto Assists and Active Notifications.
Motorola Droid Turbo comes in 32GB and 64GB edition, offering three color combinations; Metallic Black, Metallic Red and Ballistic Nylon, and costs around $199 for 32GB model on a two-year contract from Verizon. The 64GB variant comes for $249 on contract and is available only in Ballistic Nylon. Droid Turbo will be available for purchase on October 30 and onwards.
