Google Maps For Mobile Gets A Bunch Of Handy Features!

Google Maps for iPhone received an update earlier today, embracing a handful of useful features such as the ability to filter search results by cuisine type for restaurants, track real-time weather information for cities around the world, and a lot more. Alongside new features, the change-log reads ‘bug fixes’, which obviously hints for stability improvements.

The app update now allows you to search for restaurants on the basis of cuisine type, which is really a handy addition, especially for foodies. On the other hand, Google Maps for iPhone also adds transit directions to your mobile calendar.

Not only this much, there’s a bonus pack available, too. Google Maps for Mobile now entertains lane guidance across 20 different cities in India, with turn-by-turn navigation offered in Hindi language. The list of cities includes: Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Mysore, Nagpur, Pune, Surat, Thiruvananthapuram, Vadodara and Visakhapatnam.
