Motorola has announced the Moto X Play, a new addition to the Moto X lineup with lowered specs but huge battery.
The Moto X Play offers a 5.5-inch HD screen, Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor, and 2GB of RAM. The huge 3,630mAh battery included makes it stand away from the crowd, promising up to 48 hours of mixed use. The Play features 21-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front cameras.
The LTE-compatible phone comes in 16GB and 32GB storage variants, with an expandable storage up to 128GB via microSD card. The device also supports Motorola’s Moto Maker customizer.
The Play is set to launch in Europe, Canada, and Latin America in August for “$300 – $400 less than competitors’ flagships,” says Motorola.
