Xiaomi Redmi 2 now available at just Rs. 5,999 in India

Xiaomi Redmi 2 is now available for Rs. 5,999 in India. Mi India has dropped the original price of the device by Rs. 1,000, hinting towards its successors to arrive in the near future – maybe Redmi 2 Pro with 2GB RAM and 16GB on board storage.

The Redmi 2 is a 4.7-inch phone geared at Snapdragon 410 and 1GB RAM. The 4G-compatible handset offers 8MP rear and 2MP front shooters, alongside 2,200mAh battery unit and 8GB on board storage. Definitely a fair deal at just Rs. 5,999.

The new price tag for Redmi 2 – Rs. 5,999 – is in effect at the official Mi Store, Flipkart, Snapdeal and Amazon India. Additionally, Redmi India is holding a contest on Facebook where one lucky winner will walk away with a Redmi 2 Dark Grey. All you need to do is, just tell them creatively why you want the smartphone. The contest closes on July 12.
