ZUK Announces The Z1 With USB Type-C & 4,100mAh Battery

Chinese smartphone maker ZUK has announced the Z1, an affordable handset with USB Type-C port, offering USB 3.1 speed, and a huge battery. The lenovo-backed startup has priced the Z1 at 1,799 yuan ($280).
ZUK Z1 is a 5.5-inch (401ppi) phone with Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor and 3GB of RAM. Camera-wise, the device offers a 13-megapixel shooter on the back, and an 8-megapixel selfie snapper on the front. With 64GB of onboard storage, the Z1 boasts a 4,100mAh battery – really huge!
The dual-SIM phone also features a fingerprint reader that functions as home button as well as app switcher. The device will run a custom Android Lollipop ROM, namely ZUI.
ZUK will soon launch a set of earphones that’ll utilize the Z1’s USB Type-C port, though the handset sports a 3.5mm headphone jack.
As of now, there’s no detail available from ZUK on the availability of the Z1 outside China. The device is available for pre-order in China, head over to ZUK’s official website.
