Google has launched the second-generation Chromecast, revamping the device’s entire look. The Chromecast 2 comes in a flat circular body with three color options to offer: lemonade, coral, and black.
The streaming stick now comes with ‘Fast Play’ feature that connects to the TV more quickly than the original device. The company also touts its new antenna setup that renders high resolution media at a faster speed without any buffering. It’s improved Wi-Fi skills under the hood.
In addition, Google has redesigned the Chromecast mobile apps (iOS and Android) to help users find Cast-supported apps and content within them.
The Chromecast 2 is now available in 17 countries for the standard price $35. The company also announced Spotify support for the streaming device.
