Samsung at IFA announced that the Gear S2 smartwatch will not be limited to just Samsung phones. Yes, the company is expanding the compatibility of the Gear S2, adding support for other Android handsets available in the market.
In order to pair the Gear S2 with your non-Samsung phone, you’ll require a phone running Android 4.4 (or higher) with at least 1.5GB of RAM. The Gear S2 is no more exclusive – and it will please Android enthusiasts.
