Google Acquires iOS Video Editing Startup Fly Labs

Google has acquired Fly Labs, a New York City-based startup, whose portfolio includes a suite of iOS-exclusive video editing apps like Fly, Tempo, and Clips. Fly Labs will be joining the Google Photos team soon.
Neither of the company has disclosed the financial figures of the acquisition yet. Fly Labs adds:
We’re excited to continue on our mission by joining Google and the Google Photos team in Mountain View, California. Google Photos is a home for your life’s memories, powered by Google’s machine learning and computer vision technology. It’s a perfect match for what we built at Fly Labs, and we’re looking forward to folding our technology into Google Photos. We’ll be pouring the same passion into Google Photos that we poured into Clips, Fly, Tempo and Crop on the Fly.
All of Fly Labs’ apps are now available to download for free without in-app purchases. These apps will remain on the Apple App Store for three months from now.
