Meet the Windows 10-friendly Xiaomi Mi Pad 2

Xiaomi also updated the Mi Pad. The company unveiled an 18-percent thinner successor to the Mi Pad, offering two different software versions. The new Mi Pad 2 is a 7.9-inch (326ppi) tablet that comes in a metal frame ruining Windows 10 or Android-based MIUI 7.

The Mi Pad 2, specs-wise, offers a 64-bit Intel Atom SoC, 2GB of RAM, 16GB or 32GB internal storage, and a 6,190mAh battery unit for up to 648 hours of standby. The main camera is 8-megapixel, while the front unit sets at 5-megapixel. The company also included support for USB Type-C.

With no word on international availability yet, the Mi Pad 2 will be up for sale in China sometime later this month.

The device will be offered in Dark Grey and Champagne Gold color options, with a 999 RMB ($156) price point for the 16GB version, and 1,299 RMB ($200) for the 32GB.
