OnePlus One and OnePlus 2 will get Android 6.0 Marshmallow in Q1 2016

OnePlus has announced that it will roll out Android 6.0 Marshmallow to the OnePlus One, OnePlus 2, and the OnePlus X. The update will hit the One and 2 over the air as early as Q1 2016, while there’s no ETA available for the X.

For the OnePlus One, Cyanogen OS will be updating to Marshmallow in the first quarter of 2016. We created a community build of OxygenOS for the OnePlus One, but this isn’t what the product officially ships with. We will be updating the community build of OxygenOS for the OnePlus One when time allows.

For the OnePlus 2, the update will also include the standard Marshmallow API for the fingerprint sensor.

Well, that is for the One and 2, but the recently-launched OnePlus X has not got a specific timeline for the Marshmallow update yet, however, the company has assured that it is “working hard” on the update.
