Google’s Inbox by Gmail app is getting a new feature starting later this week, and it’s called ‘Smart Reply.’ This new addition to Inbox predicts your possible response to the emails you get – the yes or no type responses, actually.
Based on the emails you get, Smart Reply suggests up to three responses in a row to choose from. Either you pick one and hit send, or add a few more lines in it to quick start it.
Smart Reply uses machine learning to identify emails and generate natural language responses. Like any other learning tool, the more you use it the better it gets.
Google will start rolling out Smart Reply to Inbox users on Android and iOS starting later this week.
