Misfit announces Ray cylindrical activity tracker for $99

Misfit has announced its latest fitness wearable – the Ray. The Misfit Ray fitness and sleep monitor is the company’s first cylindrical-shaped activity tracker. It is Misfit’s most versatile tracker to date, touts the company.
The Misfit Ray is 38mm in length and 12mm in diameter, with a highly customizable cylindrical aluminum body. You’ll be able to pair it with Misfit-branded as well as custom accessories.
You can wear it as a bracelet or necklace – it’s up to you!
The Ray wearable uses a 3-axis accelerometer to track activity and sleep, and has a vibration motor inside. The tracker, like others from Misfit, requires user-replaceable batteries which can last for up to six months. It’s also resistant to 50 meters under water.
“We designed Ray to be your most valuable accessory,” said Tim Golnik, Misfit’s VP of Product and Design. “Ray’s design distills the essential performance of our wearables and opens up a world of style possibilities.”
With the Misfit Ray activity tracker, you can turn on your lights, change your music, take a selfie, and more – all with a few taps. The Ray comes in Rose Gold and Carbon Black finishes starting from $99, with retail availability in Spring 2016. You can pre-order it on Misfit.com.
