OxygenOS 2.2.0 rolling out on OnePlus X

Good news for anyone rocking a OnePlus X. Today, OnePlus announced that OxygenOS 2.2.0 will begin rolling out incrementally.
While it’s not the Marshmallow update users have been hoping for, the new update to OxygenOS does come with some great new features. The two biggest being a manual mode for the camera and Save to SD card option within the Camera app.
The manual mode feature was first delivered to the OnePlus 2, and now, OnePlus X owners can get in on the action. Another feature for the camera, adding Save to SD card as an option allows users to take advantage of the SD card slot that’s slowly disappearing from smartphones these days.
Along with these features, other updates include:
- USSD bug fix for India
- Added dual SIM preferences back in system settings
- OTA App upgrade
- Security patches
- General bug fixes and optimizations
As a OnePlus X owner myself, I’m happy to see this update and will be waiting patiently for the next one, which will hopefully bring some Marshmallow goodness. Users can expect to see this update hit their device soon.
