Samsung’s first virtual reality studio will open in New York. The studio will be responsible for producing immersive virtual reality content – especially for the Gear VR headset – as per the announcement made by the South Korean giant at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.
The production studio, according to CNET, will be sheltered inside an existing Samsung office in New York. The company didn’t comment any further on the announcement.
“At Samsung we love stories,” said Marc Mathieu, Chief Marketing Officer, Samsung USA. “And we love to help people tell stories.”
Samsung also announced a one-year partnership with the Sundance Institute to promote filmmaking.
