Samsung today announced a high-end flip phone for China, which is basically an upgrade to last year’s W2016, the W2017.
The Samsung W2017 features a pair of 4.2-inch FHD Super AMOLED displays, one on the outside and one on the inside, with a Snapdragon 820 processor aided with 4GB of RAM and 64GB expandable storage (via microSD card).
The 12-megapixel camera with f/1.9 aperture on the W2017 is capable of shooting 4K videos, while the front-facing 5-megapixel unit is pretty good at taking selfies.
Powered by a 2,300mAh battery with fast wireless charging, the Samsung W2017 comes along support for a fingerprint sensor and Samsung Pay.
Samsung hasn’t revealed official pricing yet. As far as availability is concerned, it’s unlikely that the W2017 will pave its way outside of China.
