No Galaxy S8 at MWC 2017; Note 8 to continue Galaxy Note series, Samsung confirms

Samsung has revealed that it will launch the Galaxy S8 within 90 days from now — but certainly not at Mobile World Congress 2017, which most of us have been eagerly expecting of, as Barcelona has been home to past two Galaxy S flagships.
The statement followed along the company’s Note 7 apology, where we learned that Samsung’s rush for manufacturing the Galaxy Note 7 led to a fiery hazard in 2016.
Samsung not just updated us on its upcoming Galaxy S8 flagship, but also confirmed that Galaxy Note series would continue from Note 8, which will arrive later this year.
In an interview with CNET, Samsung’s DJ Koh said that the Note 8 will be “safer” and “very innovative.”
“I will bring back a better, safer and very innovative Note 8,” Koh said. “We found through the investigative process, we knew there are lots and lots of loyal Note customers.”
We’re expecting to see the next Galaxy sometime by mid of April, and the Note 8 later this year. The latest Galaxy S8 leak revealed curved edge display, smaller bezels.
