Xiaomi’s Mi Mix 2 will have 6GB of RAM and 256GB storage, confirms Hugo Barra

Xiaomi Mix 2 launches tomorrow at the company’s 2017 Mi Product Launch event, but we already have some information about the handset ahead of that. Mobile specs included.
What we already know is the Mi Mix 2 will sport minimal bezel around the screen — even less than the original Mi Mix. But today’s update confirms the Mix 2 handset with 6GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage.
Well, that’s coming directly from Xiaomi’s former Global VP Hugo Barra, who received the handset from his former colleagues ahead of tomorrow’s event. Barra didn’t share the phone itself, however, he posted some photos of the Mix 2 packaging. The box clearly states 6GB of RAM and 256GB storage, with Mix branding on it, in Chinese.
It’s certainly not sure if this will be the higher variant or the only variant Xiaomi will be offering for the Mi Mix 2. Perhaps the Mix 2’s 6GB RAM variant will be exclusive to China, as the company has a portfolio in making its devices region-specific.
Anyways, we’re being hopeful for the Mi Mix 2 to arrive in international market as soon as possible after the official launch tomorrow.
