Apple has surprisingly dropped the first beta of iOS 11.2 to developers. The surprise here is the new firmware itself as iOS 11.1 hasn’t been seeded to the public yet. iOS 11.1 is currently in its fifth beta, while the latest public release stays iOS 11.0.3, which Apple released two weeks ago.
Apple’s fresh iOS 11.2 Beta 1 comes along a number of new features as well as bug fixes and improvements. Registered developers can download and install iOS 11.2 Beta 1 from Apple Developer Center. Likewise, the beta software can be installed as an over-the-air update, provided proper installation profile. In addition, Apple also issued beta firmwares for watchOS 4.2 and tvOS 11.2.
With all above releases, it wouldn’t be unfair to say that iOS 11.1, watchOS 4.1 and tvOS 11.1 are just around the corner for public release anytime soon.
