Apple has started its low-priced battery replacement program for qualifying iPhones, as promised. Initially, the program was supposed to kick-off early 2018, but it seems there’s a change of heart in Cupertino.

The company confirmed the immediate start of the program in a statement to TechCrunch, saying:

We expected to need more time to be ready but we are happy to offer our customers the lower pricing right away. Initial supplies of some replacement batteries may be limited.

As far as eligibility is concerned, customers with an iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, or iPhone SE are eligible for the battery replacement program. However, Apple will probably run a diagnostic to check whether your iPhone’s battery qualifies for a replacement.

The replacement costs just $29 (in the US), and is valid worldwide until the end of 2018. You might wanna check with your local Apple Store before rushing to it, as initial supplies are likely limited.
