Apple TV app now rolling out to 2019 LG smart TVs
Select UHD TVs will see the same support later this month, and the 2018 models later this year.

LG has announced that the Apple TV app is rolling out to compatible 2019 LG smart TVs in more than 80 countries. The app can be easily accessed from the LG Home Launcher, offering viewers access to Apple TV+.
The 2019 models that are getting the Apple TV app include all of the OLED TVs and NanoCell TVs. LG says the 2019 UM7X and UM6X series TVs will get the same support later this month, and the 2018 models later this year.
With the Apple TV app, LG TV owners can also subscribe to Apple TV channels — direct subscriptions to premium video services available both online and offline, ad-free and on demand — and access their iTunes video library and buy or rent over 100,000 movies and TV shows. A quick click of the LG Magic Remote is all it takes to get started.
All new LG TV models, including the 2020 smart TVs, come equipped with AirPlay 2/HomeKit and the Apple TV app. Unfortunately, LG’s 2018 TV models are striped off from AirPlay 2 and HomeKit support.
