Apple has launched a new online hub that curates information about its online shopping experience. The new page, linked directly on Apple’s homepage, is basically Apple’s retail store services brought online in one place. All these links were previously scattered across Apple’s website.
The page is titled “Everything you love about our stores is online,” and includes details about no-contact delivery, Apple Specialists, Apple Card, Apple Trade In, Genius Bar, financing and credit options, order tracking, service and support. There’s an “Explore products” section that lets you browse through Apple products by category.
Apple has also highlighted Today at Apple sessions, which are now “At home” sessions due to COVID-19. It brings fun how-to videos to help users get creative and productive with their Apple devices while practicing social distancing at home.
Apple is planning to reopen its retail stores in places where lockdowns have eased. This will have a limited working hours, and will follow social distancing in store. It’s likely that customers will be encouraged to use online shopping, especially the new online hub, in possible scenarios given the current health situation around the world.
