Apple orders new thriller series ‘Shining Girls’ starring Elisabeth Moss
Emmy Award winner Elisabeth Moss is coming to Apple TV Plus.

Apple has ordered “Shining Girls,” a metaphysical thriller based on 2013 best-selling novel of the same name from Lauren Beukes for Apple TV Plus. This show will star Emmy Award winner Elisabeth Moss, who played the lead role in the popular drama series The Handmaids Tale.
The book centers on Kirby Mizrachi who survives a brutal assault by a time-traveling serial killer and then teams up with a former homicide reporter to find out her would-be killer. Moss will play the role of the woman who is attacked and then seeks the murderer. The Handmaid’s Tale and Mad Men are some of the best known shows of Moss.
The new Apple Original series will join a slate of critically acclaimed and award-winning drama series on Apple TV+ including “Defending Jacob,” the NAACP Image Award-winning “Truth Be Told,” and the Golden Globe-nominated and SAG and Critics Choice Award-winning series “The Morning Show”; as well as the anticipated upcoming series “Mosquito Coast,” starring Justin Theroux; “Lisey’s Story,” written and executive produced by Stephen King and starring Academy Award winner Julianne Moore; and the historical drama series “Hedy Lamarr,” starring and executive produced by Gal Gadot.
Moss will also assist as an executive producer alongside Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way production company. Author Lauren Beukes and Alan Page Arriaga will also serve as executive producers. The release date of the series is yet to be known.
