Snapchat announced the integration of Mini applications into its app at the Snap Partner Summit 2020 last month. Now you can use mini apps made by third-party developers inside Snapchat. The Snapchat mini apps don’t require any additional installation, and work within the Snapchat app.

The Los Angeles-headquartered firm has started rolling out the first of its Mini apps, starting with Headspace, Let’s Do It, Prediction Master, and Flashcards. Headspace helps in meditation, Let’s Do to make decisions together, while Prediction Master serves for interactive messaging and Flashcards helps to create study aids.

To help and support mental health and emotional well-being of Snapchatters, Headspace, for instance, has six sessions which is about three to four minutes long with themes like Just Breathe, Get Out of a Funk, Kick the Panic, Be Nice to You, Pressure to Succeed, and Me Time.

This integration will help Snapchat boost engagement on its messaging app, which has more than 229 million daily users. These mini apps are created to work within Snapchat by third-party developers, and are built with HTML5.
