Now that Apple has removed Fortnite from its App Store, users can no longer download the app. Apple App Store and Google Play Store both have unlisted Fortnite over policy violation.
In the meantime, people are taking advantage of the dispute between Apple and Epic, and are trying to make a profit out of it — or trying to help those who want to play the game on iPhone. Fortnite continues to exist on iOS for those who installed the app before Apple kicked it off the App Store. People on eBay are selling iPhones with Fortnite pre-installed at a higher price range. Prices start from $1,000 and go up to $10,000 for some listings, as seen by Business Insider.
After the game was terminated from the App Store, Epic Games had filed an antitrust lawsuit against the iPhone-maker. Later, Apple sent a letter threatening to terminate Epic’s developer account and access to developer tools by August 28. Apple also said it won’t be making an exception for Epic.
