Facebook Messenger adds Watch Together feature
See your friend’s reaction while watching together on Messenger.
Facebook announced a Watch Together feature for Messenger in a blog post today. Watch Together will enable users to view Facebook Watch videos directly through Messenger video calls and Messenger Rooms.
The Watch Together feature will work with the help of Messenger Rooms where users can find an option to watch videos together with other participants. Clicking the Watch Together icon will instantly enable users to select up to 50 people in the room. After that the host can play any suggested video, or video through “TV & Movies,” “Watched,” or “Uploaded” section.
Likewise, users can enjoy Watch Together experience with up to eight friends in Messenger Video Calls. Available for both iOS and Android, the feature is free and will roll out globally within this week.
