Apple TV Plus renews ‘Ted Lasso’ for a third season
The show ranks number one comedy each week on Apple TV Plus.

Due to its popularity among the viewers, Apple’s hit comedy “Ted Lasso” will return for a third season. Starring Jason Sudeikis as coach Ted Lasso, the show ranks first in comedy each week on Apple TV Plus since launching in August. The show has drawn 25 percent new viewers to the streaming platform since its launch in August.
“Ted Lasso,” co-written by Sudeikis and Bill Lawrence, is based on a small-time college soccer coach from Kansas hired to coach a professional soccer team in England, despite having no experience coaching soccer. It co-stars Hannah Waddingham, Brendan Hunt, Jeremy Swift, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Phil Dunster and Nick Mohammed.
Apple renewed “Ted Lasso” for a 10-episode second season just a week after its debut, with filming set to begin in early January.
