Apple Pay on iPhone

Apple launched Apple Pay in Mexico, making it the 61st country to add support for Apple Pay. The payment service from Cupertino allows users to make payments using their iPhone, Apple Watch with supporting banks.

Back in October, Apple updated the Apple Mexico webpage which read (translated): “Apple Pay works with the credit and debit cards of the most important payment networks, issued by various national banks. [Apple Pay is] the most effective way to pay without cash.”

You can pay with Apple Pay in stores, restaurants, taxis, and many more by just holding your iPhone near the contactless reader until you see “Done” and a checkmark on the display. But to use this feature you must add your credit/debit card to the Wallet app. Customers of Citibanamex, Banorte, American Express, and Mastercard can use Apple Pay in Mexico as of now.

Apple Pay was first released in the United States, six years back. For more information about Apple Pay, you can check out Apple’s support page.
