The Apple TV Plus originals Ted Lasso, Wolfwalkers, and On The Rocks have received four Golden Globe Award nominations. The 78th Annual Golden Globe Awards nominated Wolfwalkers and On The Rocks with one nomination each, and the hit comedy series Ted Lasoo with the other two.
Ted Lasso has been nominated in the ‘Best Television Series, Musical or Comedy’ category, and the show’s star Jason Sudeikis for the ‘Best Actor in a TV Series.’ The comedy series is standing among nominees like The Flight Attendant, The Great, Schitt’s Creek, and Emily in Paris.
On the animated side, Wolfwalkers has been nominated in the ‘Best Motion Picture, Animated.’ It is standing against other animated movies like The Croods: A New Age, Onward, Over the Moon. ‘One The Rocks’ saw a nomination for Bill Murray in the ‘Best Performance By An Actor In A Supporting Role In Any Motion Picture.’
Last year, Apple TV Plus was nominated with three Golden Globe Awards but wasn’t fortunate enough to bring it home. This year’s Golden Globe Awards will be hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler and aired on NBC at 5PM Pacific Time on February 28.
