Apps & Software
iOS 14.6 and iPadOS 14.6 now available with Apple Card Family, Podcast Subscriptions, and more
New features and bug fixes.

Apple released iOS 14.6 and iPadOS 14.6, a month after the launch of iOS 14.5. The newest mobile software update introduces support for Apple Card Family, AirTag with Find My, Apple Music Lossless capabilities, Voice Control, and more.
Apple Card Family
Announced in April, Apple’s credit card can now be shared within a family for up to five people. Apple Card Family allows families to track expenses, manage spending with optional limits and controls, and build credit together.

Podcasts
With iOS 14.6, Apple is bringing support for subscriptions to channels and individual shows. The price for each subscription is set by creators and billed monthly by default with annual billing as an option. Podcasts subscriptions are available in more than 170 countries.
AirTag and Find My
The Lost mode option for the AirTag lets users add an email address instead of a phone number. Additionally, AirTag will show the partially masked phone number of the owner when tapped with an NFC-capable device.
Accessibility
iOS 14.6 allows iPhone users to unlock their iPhone after a restart using only their voice with the new Voice Control accessibility option.
Other fixes and improvements include:
Unlock with Apple Watch may not work after using Lock iPhone on Apple Watch
Reminders may appear as blank lines
Call blocking extensions may not appear in Settings
Bluetooth devices could sometimes disconnect or send audio to a different device during an active call
iPhone may experience reduced performance during startup
The iOS 14.6 and iPadOS 14.6 software updates can be downloaded by opening the Settings app, tapping on General, and then on Software Update on eligible devices. Apple is set to unveil iOS 15 on June 7 at WWDC 2021.
