Indian Apple Store launch gets delayed due to COVID-19
The physical retail store will be located in Mumbai.

The first physical Apple retail store in India, planned to open in 2021, has been delayed due to the COVID-19 health crisis. Apple confirmed the delayed opening of Apple Store in Mumbai to The Indian Express.
In September, Apple opened its online store in India, allowing customers to purchase products directly from the company rather than from authorized retailers.
During an earnings call last year, Apple CEO Tim Cook stated his plans to open the first physical Apple Store in India by 2021. But the company faced issues due to legal requirements followed by the global health crisis now.
India holds a strong market for Apple products. In the latest quarterly earnings call, Apple had grown double-digits in India. The upcoming physical retail location in Mumbai will probably boost it further when it opens.
