Samsung launches Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3
The foldable smartphones will be available from Friday, August 27.

Samsung has launched the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 3 at the Galaxy Unpacked event on Wednesday. The new smartphones are successors to the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and the Galaxy Z Flip 2, which launched last year in February.
The new Galaxy Z Fold 3 comes with a 7.6-inch primary QXGA Plus Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex Display and a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The cover screen is a 6.2-inch HD Plus (2,268×832 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 runs on Android 11 and has a 5nm octa-core SoC that has a maximum clock speed of 2.84GHz. As for the camera, the Z Fold 3 comes with a triple rear camera setup similar to the previous model. It has a 12-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 wide-angle lens and optical image stabilization (OIS), a 12-megapixel ultra-wide shooter, and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with dual OIS support which provides up to 2x optical zoom and HDR10 Plus recording.
On the front part, a 10-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 lens provides users with a field-of-view of 80 degrees. The phone also has a 4-megapixel under-display camera with an f/1.8 lens on top of its folding screen.
The phone is water-resistant to the IPX8 standard of 1.5 meters in water for up to 30 minutes. It uses a USB Type-C port and supports both wireless and wired charging and enables reverse wireless charging as well.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 comes in 256GB and 512GB storage options. The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and includes support for 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, NFC, and Ultra-Wideband (UWB).

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is summoned with a 6.7-inch primary FHD Plus (2,640×1,080 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex Display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The cover display is a 1.9-inch Super AMOLED display with 260×512 pixels resolution and 302ppi pixel density.
The device runs on Android 11 and has a 5nm octa-core SoC with a maximum clock speed of 2.84GHz, just like the Fold.
The Galaxy Z Flip 3 has a dual rear camera, a 12-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 wide-angle lens and OIS, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide shooter. The selfie camera is placed on the top of its folding display and comes with a 10-megapixel, f/2.4 lens.
The 3,300mAh dual-cell battery on the Z Flip 3 supports 15W fast charging for both wireless and reverse wireless charging. The device comes with 128GB and 256GB storage options. It also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor alongside the Fold’s connectivity features.
The Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 are available for preorder starting at $1,799.99 and $999.99, respectively. The foldable smartphones will be available from Friday, August 27.
