Google launches Pixel 6 models
The new Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are up for pre-order, with availability beginning October 28.

Google has given its latest Pixel phones a formal launch. The new Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are the latest high-end phones introduced by Google.
Google says these phones are the most feature-packed Pixel smartphones ever created thanks to Google’s new in-house chip, Tensor. The chip is capable of handling complex machine learning algorithms. The company believes the chip will improve the Pixel smartphone experience for users. The Pixel 6 phones have pretty major features that you would expect in an Android flagship, including an OLED screen, multiple cameras, stereo speakers, full 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6E, IP68 water resistance, and wireless charging.

The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro have a redefined design offering a premium feel to the users. The cameras have been placed horizontally along with a glass panel that adjusts with a black visor. Both phones have a new 1/1.3-inch sensor on the back. The primary sensor captures up to 150 percent more light than Pixel 5’s primary camera.
The primary shooter is a 50-megapixel (f/1.85) unit and the ultra-wide lens is a 12-megapixel (f/2.2) unit on both phones. The Pixel 6 Pro has a 48-megapixel (f/3.5) telephoto lens in addition. About the front-facing camera, the Pixel 6 has an 8-megapixel (f/2) unit and the Pixel 6 Pro has an 11.1-megapixel (f/2.2) unit.

The Pixel 6 features a 90Hz screen refresh rate and 1,080 x 2,400 screen resolution. The new Tensor chip is believed to deliver up to 80 percent faster performance over the Qualcomm-powered Pixel 5. It is aided by 8GB of RAM with up to 256GB of onboard storage. The device is powered by a 4,524mAh battery which is expected to last more than a day.
On the other hand, the Pixel 6 Pro is packed with a 120Hz screen refresh rate and a higher 1,440 x 3,120 resolution. The Pixel 6 Pro is slightly larger than the Pixel 6, giving more battery room. It is powered by a 4,905mAh battery and is packed with 12GB of RAM. The storage is expandable up to 512GB.

Above the glass panel is an accented color that is different from what’s below the panel. The Pixel 6 comes in three new colors: Sorta Seafoam, Stormy Black, and Kinda Coral. The Pixel 6 Pro can be chosen among Sorta Sunny, Stormy Black, and Cloudy White.
Neither of the phones consists of a microSD card slot nor a headphone jack. Google has set aggressive pricing given the features. The Pixel 6 starts at $599, and the Pixel 6 Pro starts at $899. The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are up for pre-order, with availability beginning October 28.
