Apple TV Plus has expanded its reach to DirecTV, a popular live and on-demand streaming service. DirecTV made the announcement in a blog post, confirming the availability of Apple TV Plus further beyond Apple’s own hardware.

DirecTV subscribers who use a DirecTV Stream Device can now log in to the Apple TV app using their Apple ID credentials. This provides them with access to Apple TV Plus, MLS Season Pass, Apple TV channels, and the iTunes Store.

Customers can also browse the Apple TV app to enjoy thousands of movies, including titles available in 4K HDR and with Dolby Atmos, as well as enjoy personalized and curated recommendations from Apple and access their library of movie and TV show purchases from Apple. Customers can also subscribe directly to services such as AMC+, Paramount+, and Starz, and watch online and offline, ad-free and on-demand, directly on the Apple TV app.

Apple TV Plus houses a number of Apple originals, including the Emmy Award winner Ted Lasso and last year’s Oscar Best Picture winner CODA. Since its launch in 2019, Apple TV Plus has been available on numerous devices such as iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and smart TVs. It recently expanded to PlayStation, Xbox, Roku, and Android smart TVs.
