Tim Cook teases a new Apple product launch next week

Apple CEO Tim Cook posted about a new Apple product launch on the social media site X (formerly Twitter). The product launch will take place on Wednesday, February 19 next week.

Cook’s post offers limited visibility as to what to expect next week, with an emphasis on “the newest member of the family” in his post. It is for sure that the launch is not a full-fledged event but rather a product announcement; the post shared is more of a teaser than an event invite.

According to Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman, Apple will announce the next generation of iPhone SE, which was last updated in 2022, next week. While the current iPhone SE continues with the iPhone 8’s design language, the upcoming upgrade is expected to bring an edge-to-edge display with a notch, Face ID, and USB-C port, among other features. The handset is also said to ship with Apple’s new 5G modem and Apple Intelligence support.
