Apple today announced plans for this year’s Worldwide Developer Conference. The WWDC 2025 will take place online from June 9 to 13, with a special event at Apple Park in California.

At WWDC25, Apple will preview the next major version of its software lineup, including iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS. While the upcoming software upgrades are obvious, there could also be some product announcements during the opening keynote of WWDC.

Apple is widely expected to bring a redesigned version of iOS, iPadOS, and macOS later this year. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the upcoming iOS 19, iPadOS 19, and macOS 16 will be one of the biggest design overhaul since iOS 7 and macOS Big Sur. Furthermore, we are likely to get updates on the delayed Apple Intelligence features at WWDC this year.

In addition to the online sessions, Apple will also be hosting a special event on June 9 at Apple Park. The special event will be a limited in-person gathering of developers, who will be selected through a random selection process. Current Apple Developer Program members, Apple Developer Enterprise Program members, and Swift Student Challenge winners are eligible to request for special event pass through April 2.

To celebrate the start of WWDC, Apple will also host an in-person experience on June 9 that will provide developers with the opportunity to watch the Keynote and Platforms State of the Union at Apple Park, meet with Apple experts one-on-one and in group labs, and take part in special activities. Space will be limited; details on how to apply to attend can be found on the WWDC25 website.

As with past Apple developer conferences, there will be no additional cost to registered Apple developers for attending keynote and sessions online with Apple engineers and designers. Apple says it will share additional conference details through the Apple Developer app and WWDC25 website as we advance.
